90% of the surveys collected mentioned a goal of getting stronger and building muscle in the off season. The program, place, and cycle is inconsequential to being committed and staying vigilent to your goals. There is ALWAYS a price for success and the bill will be due at some point. The choice you have is when you want to pay up, in the offseason or in the post season!!

The freestyle/Greco season is upon us. Get into one of the clubs or come induring our open mats and get skilled in Freestyle and Greco. Not only will some of the techniques transfer over, but the positioning, how you finish attacks, and how you defend directly relate to success during the winter.

Plan on participating for Cadet/Junior duals and Nationals in Fargo. It will only make our team stronger.

The Focus of Wrestling
When you wrestle you must enjoy the sport and love the compeition! When you focus on the outcome (winning or losing) the enjoyment and the ferocity at which you compete diminishes due to fear. This fear can manifest itself in many different ways. You can have a fear of losing, a fear of exhustion, or a fear of letting others down. Only work to control the controllables. You cannot control your opponent. You cannot control the referee. You cannot control others or their opinions. You can only control what you are willing to do. You can only control the habits to which you want to create and follow. Outcomes take care of themselves so focus on what you can control. Here a couple of quotes by two of the greatest ever!!

"Fall in love with wrestling, not winning. The wrestler not afraid to get scored on is the most dangerous. The momentum doesn’t belong to the wrestler who scored last, but to the wrestler willing to wrestle hardest in the next position. The most important point is the next one." Jordan Burroughs
