Current Events

The Sabers just completed our first Dual in WDA Pool Play against a tough Century Patriots team tonight. The Sabers found a way to come out ahead and secure the victory with a score of 50-20. We had some outstanding efforts by our seasonedd veterans and young wrestlers to make this victory happen. Next Dual is after the new year against Minot on January 8th.

Our team's next tournament will be at the Al Larson Tournament in Carrington  on Saturday December 13. This will be a good opportunity to continue to improve! Nic Enzminger will attend the prestigous Walsh Jesuit Ironman Tournament in Ohio. You can follow our the Al Larson and the Ironman on Trackwrestling.

The Focus of Wrestling
When you wrestle you must enjoy the sport and love the compeition! When you focus on the outcome (winning or losing) the enjoyment and the ferocity at which you compete diminishes due to fear.  This fear can manifest itself in many different ways.  You can have a fear of losing, a fear of exhustion, or a fear of letting others down.  Only work to control the controllables.  You cannot control your opponent.  You cannot control the referee.  You cannot control others or their opinions.  You can only control what you are willing to do.  You can only control the habits to which you want to create and follow. Outcomes take care of themselves so focus on what you can control.  Here a couple of quotes by two of the greatest ever!!

2024-2025 State Dual Champions

"Fall in love with wrestling, not winning. The wrestler not afraid to get scored on is the most dangerous. The momentum doesn’t belong to the wrestler who scored last, but to the wrestler willing to wrestle hardest in the next position. The most important point is the next one."     Jordan Burroughs
